The best Vivo phone 2023

Vivo may be the most popular smartphone brand you have never heard of. However, that could soon change with Vivo’s continued push into international markets outside of its home country China.

Despite the fact that many of its phones are only launching in Asia at this stage of its global expansion, a growing number are also getting European launches, including the X80 Pro flagship. The company is also teasing an international rollout for its X90 series. This phone has been in China since the beginning. We expect to see it go on sale in Europe and the UK.

The company’s iQoo subbrand is also worth considering. It offers redesigned versions of its parent brand’s devices at a more affordable price/performance ratio, while still keeping a gaming focus.

One quick note about software: Vivo currently has two operating systems. Origin OS, the latest operating system, is only currently available for Chinese models. Funtouch OS can be found on global launches. European models of phones have a stripped-down version of Funtouch OS with fewer preinstalled apps. This makes the phone feel more like an Android stock experience.

Cons

Vivo’s newest flagship, the X80 Pro, is available in a wide range of countries, including Europe and Asia.

It is very like the older X70 Pro+, but it is also available in more countries for a fraction of the price.

These upgrades include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and a larger battery that can charge faster.

Although the camera hasn’t been modified much, it has received minor improvements to the main image sensor, image processor, and main image sensor. This makes Vivo’s best camera and our favourite smartphone camera in 2022. Vivo also changed its trademark gimbal tech, moving it from the ultrawide lens to the 2x zoom lens. This is the only thing we don’t like about the move.

2. Vivo X70 Pro+ – Best Ultrawide Camera

Pros

  • Jaw-dropping quad camera
  • IP68 rating
  • Wireless charging

Cons

  • Odd design
  • Funtouch OS
  • International availability limited

MSRP: Rs79,990

The X70 Pro+, which is identical to the X80 Pro+, has a different chip, a worse battery, and a lower charging speed. If you find it at a discount, it’s an outstanding flagship and well worth your money.

The specifications are excellent across the board with a Snapdragon 888+ chip, up 12GB RAM and512GB storage and a 120Hz WQHD+ MOLED display and 55W fast charger.

It’s really all about the camera, which is undoubtedly still the best in any smartphone right now. All four rear lenses are excellent (and all have OIS), but the most outstanding is the ultrawide. It has gimbal stabilisation and is superior to the one in the newer model.

3. Vivo X70 Pro – Best Design

Pros

  • Amazing camera
  • Slim & lightweight

Cons

  • Average chipset
  • Funtouch OS
  • No wireless charging

MSRP: Rs46,990

The X70 Pro, a slightly less powerful alternative to the Pro+ but still very powerful (and is also not available outside of Asia), is the X70 Pro.

The display is smaller and has a lower resolution. It is also limited to the Dimensity 1200 chipset. However, it can be customized for Vivo.

You’ll still get a quad rear camera with the same specifications as the Pro+ model. The camera is also slimmer, lighter, and has no reflective ceramic windows.

4. Vivo iQoo 9T – Best for Gaming

Pros

  • Fast 120W charging
  • Dependable cameras
  • Top-spec Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

Cons

  • Poor thermal management
  • Some software is frustrating

MSRP: Starting at Rs54,999

Best Prices Today:Rs54999 at Vivo iQoo

It is becoming increasingly difficult to make a gaming phone stand out in a crowded market.

The iQoo 9T is a great device. It has a reliable set of cameras, a strong battery life, incredibly sharp screen and plenty of power to satisfy even the most demanding gamers. You can even charge it with 120W at an astonishingly fast speed.

The device is letting itself down in small ways, with poor thermal management, weak tactile feedback, and lots pre-installed software bloatware, among other software frustrations.

This smartphone will satisfy most people’s needs, maybe even surpass them in some ways. It also comes at a reasonable price, so it won’t break the bank. Although it lacks the ‘x factor” to be a real superstar, the iQoo 9T has enough capabilities to merit a recommendation.

5. Vivo T1-5G – Best for a Budget

Pros

  • Nice design
  • Amazing performance
  • Battery life is amazing

Cons

  • Quality build at a low price
  • Pointless macro camera
  • Disappointing display

MSRP: Starting at Rs19,990

Best Prices Today:Rs19990 at Vivo

Vivo’s Vivo T1 5G budget smartphone is available in India, China and Europe.

This phone is extremely smooth thanks to the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset. It also has incredible battery life. Although it looks great, the phone has limitations due to its use of plastic and lack of water-proofing.

Despite the lackluster secondary shooters, the main camera is quite strong. The LCD display is perhaps the biggest disappointment. It supports a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, but has slightly washed-out colours.

For those who value battery life and performance, the Vivo X5 isn’t just Vivo’s best budget phone. It’s also one of their best full-stop phones.
